Anker and Baseus are the two most popular third-party charging brands on Amazon. Both offer extensive lineups of USB-C chargers, power banks, and cables at prices below Apple and Samsung's first-party accessories. We tested six chargers from each brand — totaling 12 products — across three months of daily use.
The Chargers Tested
Anker lineup: Nano 20W, 313 30W, 735 65W, 737 120W, Nano II 45W, Prime 67W.
Baseus lineup: 20W Mini, 30W GaN, 65W GaN3 Pro, 100W GaN5, 45W GaN5S, 67W GaN5 Pro.
Charging Speed and Accuracy
Both brands deliver advertised wattage accurately. The Anker Nano 20W delivered 19.8W to an iPhone. The Baseus 20W Mini delivered 19.6W. Across all twelve chargers, actual output was within 2% of advertised wattage for both brands. No surprises.
For multi-port chargers, power distribution works identically — total wattage is shared across active ports with intelligent allocation to the highest-priority device.
Winner: Tie. Both deliver on their specifications.
Size and Design
Anker consistently produces smaller chargers at equivalent wattage. The Anker 735 65W three-port is approximately 15% smaller than the Baseus 65W GaN3 Pro. Anker's industrial design is cleaner — matte finishes, rounded edges, and compact form factors that travel well.
Baseus chargers are functional but slightly bulkier. The designs are acceptable but lack Anker's polish. Prong designs are comparable.
Winner: Anker for size and aesthetics.
Safety Certifications
Anker: All chargers carry UL certification, FCC compliance, and Anker's MultiProtect safety system (overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, and temperature protection). Anker has a well-documented track record of third-party safety testing.
Baseus: All tested chargers carry FCC and CE certifications. Safety protections are listed but less prominently documented than Anker's. We did not encounter any safety issues during testing.
Winner: Anker for transparency and certification documentation.
Price
Baseus consistently undercuts Anker by 20-30% at equivalent wattage. The Baseus 65W GaN3 Pro costs approximately $30 versus Anker's 735 65W at $40. Across the full lineup, Baseus offers more aggressive pricing.
Winner: Baseus for price.
Reliability Over Time
After three months of daily use across all 12 chargers: zero failures from either brand. All chargers maintained consistent output, all prongs remained firm, and all USB-C ports maintained secure cable connections. Three months is a limited test period, but both brands performed identically.
Winner: Tie at three months.
Customer Support
Anker: 18-month warranty, responsive customer support, and a well-established Amazon presence with easy returns. Anker's reputation for customer service is consistently praised in online communities.
Baseus: 18-month warranty. Customer support is functional but less established than Anker's. Amazon returns work identically.
Winner: Anker for brand trust and support.
Cable Quality
As a bonus, we tested USB-C cables from both brands. Anker cables use tighter braiding, more robust connector housing, and include cable ties. Baseus cables are functional with slightly less premium feel. Both deliver rated power and data speeds.
Winner: Anker for cable quality.

The Verdict
Buy Anker if: You want the most compact chargers, the strongest safety documentation, and the best customer support. You are paying a premium for polish, trust, and design.
Buy Baseus if: You want equivalent performance at 20-30% lower prices and accept slightly less refined design and documentation.
For most users, Anker is the safer recommendation. For budget-conscious buyers who do not mind less premium aesthetics, Baseus delivers the same charging performance for less.
